International Online Competition for Young Musicians
«Winterreise-Debut»
Young musicians of all specialties aged 3 to 12 years inclusive are invited to participate in the competition. The age of contestants is determined as of March 1, 2025.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION

Supporting and developing the creative abilities of young children;

Helping young performers gain positive emotional experiences from performing;

Enhancing the level of performance skills and expanding the repertoire of young musicians;

COMPETITION PROGRAM
-
One or more pieces chosen by the contestant.
-
Single or multiple parts of a large cyclical work are allowed.
-
Transcriptions and arrangements are allowed.
-
Recording duration should not exceed 10 minutes.
COMPETITION PROCEDURE
The competition will take place in ONE ROUND, ONLINE.
In all solo categories, the program must be performed from memory. In the "Instrumental Ensemble" and "Vocal Ensemble" categories, it is allowed to perform using sheet music.
A teacher or accompanist is allowed to participate in ensemble categories.
To participate, each soloist or ensemble must submit a completed application (see Appendix). The following documents must be attached to the application:

A photograph of the soloist or a group photo of the ensemble (at least 3 MB);

A brief creative biography of the soloist or ensemble in free form;

Consent from parents or legal guardians for children's participation in free form;

A copy of the passport or birth certificate of the soloist or each ensemble member;

A copy of the receipt (or other document) confirming the payment of the entry fee;

A link to the program recording.
For ensemble categories, one application per ensemble is required. The completed application, required documents, and a link to the recording must be sent by February 28, 2025, to competition.winterreise@gmail.com with the subject: Winterreise_Debut_2025.
Video recordings should be uploaded to YouTube or any other platform with open access, and the link should be shared for quick viewing without downloading. The video must show the performer's hands, instrument, and face continuously, and no additional audio or video editing is allowed.
Contestants are responsible for the order of performance of the pieces in the program.
Any changes in the program must be approved by the organizing committee.
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS. ENTRY FEE
Attention! Participation in the 2025 competition is free of charge
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Contest participants will not receive a fee for their performance in the competition or for any further use of recordings and broadcasts of these performances. The organizing committee retains exclusive rights to the audio and video recordings and broadcasting of the competition.
PRIZES AND WINNER AWARDS
All participants will receive a summary comment from the jury.
All participants will be awarded Diplomas of Participation, Diplomas of Laureates, or Diplomas of Winners in each age category, and will be awarded the following prizes:

Special prize: Invitation to perform at the Russian State Children's Library in Moscow in 2025-26 (travel and accommodation not covered).

Free participation in group and individual masterclasses.

Special prize from the AD GROUP ART Advertising and Information Agency – publication in an online edition.
All teachers and accompanists of the contestants, regardless of the participant's results, will be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the jury.
Printing and mailing of physical copies of diplomas is NOT PROVIDED. All award documents (diplomas and certificates of appreciation) will be sent electronically to the email address provided in the application.
The jury reserves the right not to award all titles, to share titles, and to establish additional special prizes and Grand Prix awards.
